Nando’s is universally known for its high standard of service, dedication and increasing popularity across the globe and it has chosen Fileturn for its UK expansion programme.

Each restaurant is tailored to its local surroundings and customers, offering a unique restaurant experience to go with the equally unique taste of legendary Portuguese Peri-Peri chicken.

The ‘homely’ feel is created with bespoke joinery and wood features throughout, with open areas and natural light.

Working in the historic town centre of St Albans, the site had to be stripped of most of its internal walls, with all floors removed and reformed to create open plan eating areas.

A feature staircase of oak treads and stacked glass risers and balustrade was installed, as was a passenger lift and food hoist.

Cold stores, offices and a preparation area were created in the basement, after the existing linings and partitions were removed and the area tanked.

Fileturn’s master craftsmen also custom-made the furniture and fittings in oak throughout the two restaurants. These ranged from the seating partitions and suspended ceilings to the feature curved wall.
