Aston Hotel Darlington

Fileturn welcomed the opportunity to work with London-based property management and development company Dominvs Group on the refurbishment of the Aston Hotel in Darlington.

The company announced plans to convert their hotel into a Holiday Inn, and Fileturn were the natural choice as main contractor, having worked on previous Holiday Inn concepts.

Twenty-two standard bedroom suites and three executive suites were stripped and refitted, with minor alterations made to each room to allow for the redesign of the shower rooms.

RSD Interiors’ design made use of existing case goods, and Fileturn’s craftsmen made new headboards to compliment the concept.

The public areas saw the biggest transformation to fit the Holiday Inn brand, with alterations to the layout and the formation of a new gym, part of the brand offering.

The overhauled restaurant and bar areas had new counters, with a coffee station included in the scheme.

All work was completed within time and on budget, and Fileturn look forward to further developing their good working relationship with Dominvs Group.
