DoubleTree by Hilton Southampton

This project entailed providing the hotel with a full upgrade of facilities, rooms and public areas all while the hotel maintained its operational status.

The challenges were enormous requiring 145 rooms to be refurbished and restyled with new bathrooms. New electrical facilities and air conditioning were installed to bring this hotel up to Hilton’s American standards. After much detailed planning, a schedule was compiled whereby on average, 25 rooms were refurbished every three weeks. In addition to this busy schedule, six meeting rooms had to be stripped out and completely refurbished
in a manner that still left the hotel with operational facilities while the refurbishment was carried out.

Other elements that were included in this project were all the communal areas were restyled to provide a stylish ambiance. The cloakrooms were renewed, five communal corridors and lift lobbies had new ceilings and coverings installed. A new gymnasium a leisure room was also added to the hotel. Finally a new reception area was created to provide a warm and elegant welcome to guests.
