Holiday Inn: Stratford-upon-Avon

Set in the centre of historic Stratford-upon-Avon the Holiday Inn sits on a five acre site with private mooring on the River Avon.

Owners QMH UK recently embarked upon an extensive multi-million pound refurbishment of several hotels in their portfolio and appointed Fileturn to undertake two of the hotels in tandem, Holiday Inn Stratford and Crowne Plaza Chester.

The project, over three phases, encompassed the complete transformation of the ground floor; bar, restaurant, reception, meeting and conference rooms, building entrance and patio.

The design by Design Coalition rejuvenated the dated and dreary interior with specialist finishes throughout. Focal points in each area included a glazed wall with an open gas fire in reception, a quadrangle of bespoke bookcases and seating in the bar with sliding doors out to the patio. The patio was decked, a barbecue and fire pit installed, and new ramped access with feature railing.

A new disabled access ramp was also formed at the main entrance and the look of the entrance overhauled to reflect the interior.
