Manchester Marriott Hotel Victoria & Albert Hotel

The Victoria & Albert Marriott is a former workhouse located on the banks of the River Irwell in the centre of Manchester. Fileturn were pleased to be appointed by Marriott International to undertake an extensive refurbishment of this iconic building.

Following the successful completion of three sample rooms work commenced on all of the 148 bedrooms, suites and corridors.

Designer Joanna Knight Interiors worked with a colour scheme to compliment the historical features with new carpets, drapes and voiles, lighting, seating and artwork. Fileturn’s craftsmen polished and restored the original bedroom furniture.

Bathrooms received similar treatment with existing baths repolished and tiles renovated.

With a determined and dedicated site team, strict programming and scheduled phase hand-overs, Fileturn worked in close partnership with hotel management and staff to achieve a high level of success for all involved in a tight timescale.
