The Gessner

Fileturn were delighted to be commissioned to work on this high-end rental scheme by Way of Life.

The site, at Tottenham’s former Berol Yard Pencil Factory, had been developed into apartments to offer fully-furnished accommodation which is ready to move in to. We created the public areas which are an integral part of the scheme, offering tenants additional space for guests or just a place to interact and socialise with other tenants.

Works included a stylish coffee shop, a private dining room for 12, a communal sitting room and kitchen, a gym, a back of house reception for the onsite manager and all the corresponding corridors.

We also worked on the roof terrace creating an outside kitchen and seating area including a wooden pergola which featured a retractable glass roof.

One of the challenges was getting all the materials up to the seventh floor. By working closely with the local authority a crane was used for this task so the goods were safely positioned where they needed to be.
